This pictures were taken under hilarious circumstances…i will spare you the details for fear of revealing too much ;)

The idea behind this pictures was to celebrate Gods beauty in every woman (man). We are all made in the image of God, and we all have different styles so embrace yours.

I liked what everyone was wearing and decided to shoot a group outfit of the day pictures. Hope you get an outfit or two inspiration from this post if not, next time..lol

I will be making a slight change to my blog. It will still be about fashion but i would like to add a few posts on health and wellness especially for women.  Hope you guys like it?

Have a blessed week ahead!

Sonnet 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his height be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

L in the Water Falls of Joy!!!

We took these pictures several weeks ago! I just realized i had not put them up….

The experience was actually hilarious.  We took the pics really fast because there was a guard in the vicinity who kept throwing us really mean looks and people were staring at us…

We were not sure “picture taking” was allowed in that area…oh well, mission accomplished  :)

I will like to take this moment to give  ”shout outs” to

L, who ignored the stares and gave me what I wanted

The guard, for not asking us to stop takings pictures

And lastly, to my darn self for being a trooper..lol

Break all rules….Wear white after labor day!!!!

I don’t know who came up with the rule of not wearing white after labor day? but whoever you are…..  ”sir/ma’am, please, kindly slap yourself over the head”. lol Just kidding.

Seriously, I love  wearing white. It just makes any and everything appear smarter and happier.

On a very random note, I can’t seem to stop listening to this song! Have a happy week ahead people ;)

Ls’ Fall Garb!!!!!!!!!

Dressy

Casual Corner

Usually, i would have to drive through a hurricane to get L to pose for pics…lol

However, most recently, she has been in such festive  and accommodating mood that she volunteered to willingly subject her self to my random picture-taking ideas *shocked*

This time i suggested we go into the woods…hahahhahhahah…L gave me a major side eye but went along …

People passing by, kept giving us  a “what in the freaking hell is going on” look, we ignored them and had fun while doing it :)

We ended the day by visiting a dear friend *sigh* Yay!..for pleasant memories. ;)

It’s my birthday and i will cry if i want to!

Well I didn’t exactly cry, more like threw a tantrum…JK

Watchu know about that berripop yogurt? We drove up to the Woodlands and spent the day there.

We talked, reflected, prayed and ate the crappiest food ever cooked by any restaurant in the world…..bad, bad, bad…ewwww….

L actually was the voice of reason; I was adamant about eating at that particular restaurant. Put it down as L being a health freak and all…O boy! Did we regret going into that restaurant. One word Hydrogenated Fat! well two…..but you get the picture. You could taste the health hazard!

But, Chocolate and Berripop yogurt made it better :)

So Happy Birthday to me and all the September babies out there! We run this :)

Afro Chic

L, allowed me post these nice pics of her.  She looks totes Amaze!

I think what i find absolutely endearing is the hair; I love Afros of all textures. There  is just something regal and beautiful about it.

Thanks hon ;)

It’s a Naija Thang!

In the name of rose-tinted nostalgia….i dug through all my ish to find this gorgeous Naija dress.

I don’t know what it was, but something in the air vaguely reminded me of Hammatan in Abuja; the warmth and friendliness of the people. *sigh*

I love the Nigerian people. Their human spirit and energy tells a story of faith, hope, and love.

So, here is to Naija, the land of my Ancestors!

Dress: From Nigeria :)

Crap…. the weekend is over and i did not catch up on my sleep!

On our way back from church on sunday, it was blazing hot! So we decided to stop here just to chill for a while.

awwwww…There is my darling L, doing what she does best……being awkward adorable

My emotions about Sunday is some what conflicted. A bitter-sweet day. I like it because I get to go to church in the morning, get back home, go for a run, read a book or hang out with friends and family, pretty much laze around.

While lazing around though, there is always this random  damp emotion, reminding me that the very next day is Monday and it’s another work week, with little or no sleep because, I’m a night Owl and there comes the regrets “I should have slept in on saturday, instead of going for that stupid run!” or “Why didn’t I go to bed by 8pm on friday instead of going to see that stupid movie” in retrospect, everything I did instead of sleeping, takes on a foolish quality.

My regrets are usually centered around sleep and sleeping…..I love sleep! When I’m sad I go to sleep, when I can’t handle any situation I go to sleep, When I’m emotional I go to sleep, Irritated? I go to sleep!…..and when I awaken, life usually does not seem half as bad… lol *sigh* and I tackle issues with more clarity..try it!

Style Crush: Les Twins

If you don’t know Les Twins, I seriously don’t know what else to say, other than get to know them. They are french twins from Sarcelle France. Been dancing since they were kids and they have modeled for  designers like Jean Paul Gaultier etc. What i love about them is their originality, they are different in their approach to dance and fashion. Their signature Afro, backward pants, and amazing dance moves keeps them ahead of the crowd.

Honestly though, forget about everything else and watch them dance!

These kids are simply beasts on the dance floor….what?! I love how they tell stories with their dance…Just amazing! They make me wish i honed in my dancing skill :(

Their style is pretty much hip-hop influenced and very street in expression.
I am in awe of their talent!
